Update!

I have been so bad at blogging... Hoping I can find a groove somewhere, but it just hasn't happened yet! We are all doing well and getting ready for Christmas! Thanksgiving was wonderful, it was my first Thanksgiving with my "new" family and also our last before we have another addition to the family. ;-) Work is great, I love all of my wonderful co-workers and have been so pleasantly surprised at how much each of them enrich or bless my life. Its like having an even bigger family and that's really nice! My poor husband is starting up his peak season at work so he has had alot going on! He still leaves most of that at work when he leaves it and comes in the house with a smile almost every night! :-) I am so darn lucky to have him!!

The baby girl has a name now and it is.........Riley Claire!! She is staying active especially at night! We have had 3 ultrasounds so far. The first was just routine and the other two have been to check out her kidneys which they are somewhat concerned with. We go to talk to the Dr. next week to find out results from the latest ultrasound. I am praying for great results and I BELIEVE that is exactly what we are going to get. :-)

Everyone else around here is doing well!! Emma lost another tooth this past weekend! She is now missing both her front teeth with a little help from her Sdaddy.. She wanted it out and I could NOT do it, so a couple of wiggles and it was OUT! She was extremely happy since it was getting hard to eat, it had become so loose!

Brooke is having issues with middle school. I don't know if she is just so caught up with the social aspect of it or what, but she seems to have her head in the clouds when it comes to her schoolwork. I am really hoping this next semester that she gets it in gear!!!

I think that's about it for now! We have Emma's field trip tomorrow to the Tennessee Aquarium so are super excited!! Hope everyone is having a wonderful December! I will post pics from our latest ultrasound and Emma's field trip soon!!

Week 20!!! Halfway there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YEAAAAAAAHHHH!!! I am sooooooooo excited! We are halfway there!! Sometimes it feels like I have been pregnant forever but most of the time, it feels like just yesterday, my hubby and I were taking a pg test just for the heck of it and ALMOST threw it away when the 2 lines that meant POSITIVE were so faint, that we thought it was negative! I googled faint lines on a pregnancy test and bought 4 before I finally believed it! Who am I kidding?? I didn't believe it, till the Dr confirmed it!

For some of those that know me, or have followed my blog or past blogs, knew my desire to have more children. I even tried adoption with my ex-husband, but for reasons, I could not control, it did not work out. Looking back, I realize, it was NOT in the cards for me then and it was just God's way of saying, "Not now, I have something better in mind". Even though, I felt back then, like my dreams were over, its such a wonderful feeling to know that HE knows us better than we know ourselves and he knows just what we need!! He knew I longed for a compassionate, respectful, kind and faithful partner to walk this road with here on earth and he blessed me with that! He also knew my want to have more children and though I was told in January, it was probably over for me (due to health issues) he had other plans for that as well!!!!!! I am so blessed and I realize what living in his grace and unmerited favor feels like for the first time in years! Life is GOOD!!

To celebrate the HALF-WAY mark, we did some shopping! The hubby had to work today, so B, E and I went to find halloween costumes!! E is going to be a sweetheart bat girl? Who knows?? She picked it out! B is gonna be a greek goddess! Yeah, she picked hers out too! After 15 minutes in Party City, yep, we were in and out, we headed to JC Penney to switch out E's coat that her MiMi got her! I told her the wrong size so we took it back and got the right one!! She was not happy that they did not have the SAME coat MiMi picked out for her, but she liked the other one ok and I convinced her it was just as fabulous! :0) After that, it was a trip to Starbucks where I dropped my debit card in the drivethru in some yucky liquid!!! The nice guy from Starbucks cleaned up my debit card for me and I was good to go! See, there is a reason you pay $4 for a cup of coffee! GREAT customer service! :0)

All that was enough to wear an ole pregnant girl plum out! We are now home, girls are playing in the culdesac and I am sitting here blogging away! If I get too still, I will be asleep, can't get enough shut-eye these days! I hope everyone has a fabulous week!!

19 weeks

Almost to the halfway mark....... :0)

Feeling great other than still being sooooo tired. I thought the 2md trimester brought energy and was the best time of the pregnancy! I can take 3 hour naps during the day and STILL be ready for bed @ 9:00! Be glad when the fatigue is over!

The girls are getting so excited! They can't wait to find out if they are having a brother or a sister! They are hoping for a girl! ;0) Speaking of, we have an US date to find out the sex! In 8 days, we will know!!! It's hard to believe that my family will be growing again before long.

Ok, off to eat some TUMS, this heartburn is killer! :0( Have a wonderful week everyone!

Not me Monday!!

Ok, so here I go with my first set of Not Me's on this blog! I was such a faithful Not me poster on my old blog and now I have settled into a FUNK! I am determined to tell you things I did not do from now on! ;0)

I did not find a soggy peanut butter cracker on the back bumper of my SUV and then drive around with said cracker on the back bumper for almost a week! I then did not remove the cracker with a toothpick because I thought I would gag when I had to remove it 8 days later!! It was not so soggy that you had to carefully lift it off with exact precision so that it did not stick to the bumper or fall to mushy pieces during lift off! UGH!

I did not drive around town looking for a State Farm agency to pay our car insurance only to find out we have Alfa!

I did not make my husband sit and watch a whole marathon of Real Housewives of Atlanta! He did not like it at all! ;0)

I did not watch a little girl pick her nose and wipe it on her mom's purse when she was not looking! I also did not just smile to myself when I saw it and not open my mouth to tell the unsuspecting mother! Hey, I am sure my kids have done it before!

I did not think about taking a woman out @ the annual consignment sale we have in our area every year because she was eyeing a diaper bag I was just about to snatch up! She did not end up buying it right in front of me and I did not hope secretly that maybe it would have something like the other lady's purse stuck to it somewhere for her to find later!!! Yeah, that would be mean, glad I do not think like that!

I did not sit here late on Monday night scrambling to do my Not me's so that I could get in before Mr. Linky closed for the evening!

Whew, glad I got the things I did not do off my chest! ;0) Stop on over @ MckMama's blog to check out what other folk's are not doing this week!

2nd Trimester!!

YAAAAAAY!!I made it!!! Hoping all the things I remember from my past pregnancies and what I've read in all my pregnancy books is true! I have been free from morning sickness for almost a month now. :0) Still tired alot, I can take a 4 hour nap and still be sleepy at bedtime! I have gained weight and then lost it.. I think I have put on around 3 pound that have stayed with me. We have had our first ultrasound and got to hear the baby's heartbeat! :0) I am ready to find out what this baby is! Its hard to plan without knowing and hats off to all you mom's that could go without knowing the whole 9 months!

I hope everyone has a safe and fun filled Labor Day weekend! I am off to nap oops, I mean clean my house! ;0)

What a joyful sound...

We got to hear the baby's heartbeat yesterday! It was in the 150's. We are "growing" right along schedule and everything is rather uneventful right now.. Can't wait to feel movement but I know thats still awhile away. We go back next month to decide if we will do any of the testing for birth defects. I am unsure of my decision at this point, but we need to decide soon. Hope everyone is having a wonderful week!

My Montage 8/25/09

Just some ideas........

So I have been looking at baby bedding online and even though we do not know the sex of the baby, its still fun to look around! Here are a couple I came up with this week!! :0) I am pretty sure you can click on each image to enlarge!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Ive never been so frazzled! lol!! I have been going to the Dr once a week for the last 3 weeks, working, registering 2 girls for school and had 3 birthdays this month (Hubby,and both girls)! WHEW!!! Then of course in a little over a week, my oldest will start middle school and my youngest will start 2nd grade. Where has the summer gone?? It has flown by at my house....What about you?

We are all still adjusting. The girls will start a new school this year. Bless thier hearts they have been bounced around so darn much. I hope they will settle in and love thier new schools. This will be the 1st year that I won't be there to drive them to and from. :0( Yes, Mom is going thru some serious guilt issues right now..

We have alot on our plates right now with Emma. My ex-husband is giving me problems with custody. I so wish I could vent on my blog and get it all off my chest but I can't until its all over and hopefully by then, the need to vent will be gone. Just be praying for my family. I have to remember that "this too shall pass".

I am having lots of morning sickness with this pregnancy. The Dr. prescribed me Zofran for the nausea. It helps alot but I will still be very glad when its over. I sleep alot when I get home and on my off days. It feels like I just can't catch up. I don't remember being this tired with the girls. We are on week 9 so I am praying that it holds true that the 2nd trimester is easier and its just right around the corner. We are still trying to come up with names for the baby. My father-in-law who passed away the week we found out was named Rand and we are trying to incorporate his name for the new baby. I have come up with several but the hubby is not really crazy about any of my choices.. ;0) I came up with Liam Rand and Evan Rand and he just wrinkles his nose at both. If anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear any of them. I am really concentrating on boy names even though we still don't know yet what we are having. I have been to baby stores galore since finding out I was pregnant and it's just not near as much fun to shop unless you know the sex. There is only so much yellow I am willing to buy. ;0)

My sister was up this past weekend from Lousiana for a visit. We took our kids and went to Olive Garden the night they got here and then went swimming over the weekend. I love her soooo much and I was so happy to be able to spend some time with her and her kiddos.

Thats really about all for now, not much else to update. I know next week will be crazy with the kids going back to school so not sure when I will be able to blog for a little while.

I hope everyone is enjoying the last days of thier summer. I know my kids are!! :0)

I am thankful for my family and the fact that it's growing by 2 FEET!! :0)

 

Please remember our family in prayer in the next few weeks and maybe months.. Dewayne's dad passed away on July 2nd, 2009. He had been sick for quite some time and his body just gave out. I did not get to spend as much time getting to know the man that took me in as a daughter-in-law just two months ago, but the time I did was so very precious. He loved his wife, son and family more than words can say and will be greatly missed....

Around here......

Hello all, I have been super busy with work and other things lately. I have not been a very good blogger lately.. :0( My father-in-law was in the hospital recently, he gave us all quite a scare. It made me see a different side of my husband, one I knew was there but just havent seen. He loves his parents so very much and I think this last incident really showed him how fragile life is sometimes. My husband shows me everyday a little more of the wonderfulness inside his heart and it makes me proud to be called his wife. My father-in-law is doing some better, he is out of the hospital now but is still sooooo very weak. :0( We went out to eat for Fathers day and it was still hard for him to do alot without tiring him out. :0( We are still praying for a complete and speedy recovery so that he can feel better SOON!

My memaw was also placed in the hospital recently. She was having some issues with her colon and they kept her for 5 days. I brought her home this past Monday so I am hoping she as well is on her way to getting better. :)

The girls are enjoying thier summers. Brooke is at her grandmothers alot this summer so far. She helps out at thier pizza restuaraunt and loves to be a big help around there. Emma is spending her month long visit with her dad right now. We are halfway through with all that, which makes me happy. My house feels kinda empty without chatter, laughter or arguing going on, and YES, I said arguing. I would take even that!! They will both be home this weekend and my hubby has to work so I can't wait to spend some time with my girls!!

I survived my 1st week at work!!

Well, I survived my first week at work!! :0) I was exhausted every night and could hardly keep my eyes open as my hubby and I tried to watch a full episode of TRUE BLOOD season 1 each night. He has me hooked and ready for season 2 to start in 2 weeks!!!! :0)

The girls are loving being out of school and I have to admit I like it too! Ball is over too and I will miss seeing all my other "mommy friends" at the ball park but I am glad its over as well!

Emma Grace leaves for camp in the morning. This is something her dad and grandmother have organized so I will not be the one there for drop off and pickups each day! :0( She will have a blast and thats all that really matters! ;0) Brooke just got back from a church trip to Lake Winnie on friday so they are both having fun summers so far. I got my new schedule for work last week so it looks like my off day will be a half day on Wed and all day Thur each week, then I have every other weekend off. Workign weekends is not bad at all, because its only 8-12 every other sat, and its the weekend I dont have the girls so I don't have to leave them with a sitter on Saturdays. :0)

We HAVE to find a pool soon though! The temps are in teh 90's today and I can promise you next weekend if its this hot, my tail will be in a pool somewhere! :0)

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week! I am off to do a little more housework and get Emma packed for camp. She wont be back till Sunday! :0(

Brooke's awards day and ball games!

My oldest baby graduated elementary school on Friday! She is off to middle school! As I said before, time has flown and both of my girls are growing up faster than I could have ever imagined... Here are some pics of Brooke at her graduation and at her ball game later on that night! She played so good and even pitched some. I am a very proud momma!! :0)
