Fun weekend! :)

We had such a fun weekend this past week! The girls had a sleepover which was the 1st since Riley was born. They were great and I have to say Riley slept longer than the 4 big girls. :) We did swimming, pizza and movies saturday night and then got up sunday and after lunch went swimming again. As you can see below, they had lots of fun. I have such sweet girls and it makes me happy to see the smiles on thier faces. Hope everyone is having a blessed week so far! :)

4 months

Today you are 4 months old. You are wearing size 2 diapers and you weigh almost 14 pounds. Most of your clothes are 3-6 months though some are still too big. You take 6oz bottles every 3-4 hours and you started eating cereal last week. You love to eat off of a spoon, but get cranky when mommy is not getting it to your mouth fast enough. You don't mind riding in a car but you don't like it when the car sits still for too long. You love your pacifer and your "lovey". :) Your sisters are crazy about you and is everyone else you come in contact with. Strangers stop us in the mall on the street whereever we are to see you and tell you how beautiful you are. (We knew that already, but we are kinda partial) You wake up in the mornings in the best mood and talk to yourself until someone comes to get you up. You love the ceiling fan in mommy and daddy's room and you will look at it as long as we will let you lay there. It doesn't take much to make you happy. We always joke that if you are crying, you must be hungry and if we make you a bottle, it does the trick.

Happy 4 month birthday Riley Claire. We love you so very much. You make this family whole and we don't know what we would do without you..

It's funny how

your kids drive you CRAZY when they are together and fighting but when they are gone you feel incomplete. I know now I would rather have them with me and fighting then away and only silence... I love you Brooke and Emma..

Lunch with a dear friend...

Recently I got to meet up with one of my besties from middle school and have lunch and cupcakes with her and her kiddo's. She comes into town about twice a year but we both stay so busy that our schedules never really clicked until this trip! It was so nice to be able to sit and talk to her and see her precious little ones. I am convinced that one day Riley and Jackson will fall madly in love... ;0) He's the cutest thing ever. OF course, I can't forget about Sophia, she has the sweetest little personality and a heart bigger than her tiny little body. We had lunch at Chick-fil-a so the kids could play while we tried to catch up and afterwards we stopped by GiGi's Cupcakes for dessert. I was not impressed with the cupcake I got, but I am convinced that maybe it was the flavor I chose, so I am not giving up yet! The kids had fun and Steph and I got to catch up a little (not near enough) on each other's lives. It was so nice to get to spend some time with her. It's amazing how much we have grown up. I can remember when our nights consisted of prank-calling and staying up all night and even though it has been many a few years since we saw each other, I remember how much fun we used to have!! I love you Steph, can't wait till next time!! :)

out of the mouths of moms

You have heard Out of the mouths of babes, I am sure. Well, have you ever stopped and thought of the things we mom's say? Head over to MckMama's blog for some posts that are sure to have you laughing out loud!! Now here are some of the things I have said to my children lately!

"Please don't stick your hand in the poopy diaper!!"

"Get out of the bouncy seat, you are 7!"

"No, you cannot live in the garage because you hate sharing rooms! There is no air condioning and no heat in the winter. No, a fan won't work. No, you may not leave the garage door open to make it cooler."

"No, your boobies will NOT grow if you pull on them, Stop it, you are going to hurt yourself. No, I do not know how mine grew. It just happened."

"We cannot give the hitchhiker a ride. He is waiting on someone to pick him up. No, he's not waiting on us, for someone he knows. I know he's still there this afternoon, maybe his ride is late."

"Who's turn is it to pick up the dog poop?"

In loving memory of Bobbie Fae Duplissey

It has been a rough Memorial Day weekend around here. My husband's grandmother lost her battle to cancer on Sunday. She was a no nonsense lady with lots of fight in her. She always made me laugh when I was around her because you never knew what she would say next. You always knew where you stood with her and she was always one to speak her mind. She had battled cancer a few years ago and seemed to beat it, then in February, it was back and with a vengeance at that. She fought hard till the very end and though I hate that she is gone, I know she is no longer suffering. Please pray for our entire family as the healing process starts. Here are a few pics of her with Riley...
